My three and a half years old daughter had had SM for at least two and a half years.

She has gotten significantly improvement after we give her some training started a month ago. It's really surprised us. I am so released now. I made two doctor appointments for her in late this month, but I plan to cancel them. I believe she will be fine.

I will write more when I get time.

If you are interested, you are welcome email me, I will be glad to email you back or talk on the phone.

I have a daughter 24 years old with sm. I have
been trying for years to get help for her sm.
She has been to many therapists. The doctors here
are not familiar with sm or don't know how to
treat it. I would love to hear from other parents
who are struggling with this and if they were
successful what kind of help did they receive.

I am intrigued by this condition. I went to school with 2 of your Advisory Board Members, Laura & Lisa Klatt.
I now realize why they were introverted and silent, but had no idea that this was a viable condition.
Bless them both and all individuals that are touched by this condition.
Take care...

I am a volunteer educational advocate in the Central Florida area and have been contacted by a Mom who has a child with selective mutism. He is 6 years old and in kindergarten. Unfortunately, i do not have any direct experience with SM.

School district is not providing needed a**tance. If anyone has any experience with educational efforts/advocacy for students with SM and would be willing to share info, I would really appreciate it.

Please feel free to contact me directly via my personal email account.
Thanks,
Simone
